Commemorative art deco Albert Einstein stamp

Project for the Design Communication Arts certificate program at UCLA Extension.

Not many people, including myself, make the connection that Einstein lived right in the middle of the thriving Art Deco design period. Therefore, I wanted to create a commemorative stamp that not only celebrated Albert Einstein, but also connected him to the visually beautiful period through which he lived and experienced.

This design is heavily influenced by the works of the great French Art Deco poster designer A.M. Cassandre. I appreciate all of the intent behind the placement of the elements in his designs. I tried to maintain that same level intent with my design.
